Sources say that Jennifer Lopez will be leaving American Idol when this season is over. Last year J-Lo hinted that she might leave the show after her first season, but she decided to come back as a judge for Idols 11th season.
Marc Malkin of E Online is reporting that Jennifer is claiming that “She’s just too busy” to handle her American Idol duties. Jennifer is busy! Not only is she the mother of twins, but she’s also promoting her new movie “What to expect when you’re expecting” and she has plans to go out on a world concert tour with Enrique Iglesias this summer.
I’m hoping that maybe J-Lo is just wanting a raise?

This week the legendary “Beau Sancy” diamond that’s been cherished by kings, queens and princes for centuries was sold at an auction at Sothebys’ in Geneva for $9.7 million dollars. The historic diamond was used to reinforce alliances between nations and even pawned once to pay off royal debt.
According to Sothebys, no less than 5 bidders battled for eight minutes in the auction before it was bought by an anonymous bidder.

Just a couple of years ago, Jennifer Lopez was struggling to regain her top celebrity status. Looks like signing on to judge American Idol and the media platform it gave her, her music and everything else she has going on, helped her do just that. Forbes has named J-Lo the #1 celebrity on its annual Top 100 Celebrities list dethroning Lady Gaga who took the top honor last year. Gaga drops to 5th. Oprah still made the most money on the list with a whopping income of $165 million despite the ending of her popular TV show and the struggling launch of her OWN channel. The Beebs is on the list along with Rihanna and others.See the full list of the Top 100 Celebrities

Even with Paul McCartney‘s 70th birthday approaching next month the ex-Beatles bassist isn’t slowing down one bit. Sir Paul performed in front of 200,000 people at Mexico City’s historic central square, The Zolcalo, for the final performance of his Latin American tour.
During the performance Paul was joined on stage by a traditional Mexican mariachi band to sing the Beatles’ hit “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da.” The crowd went crazy for the performance. The concert, which was free, was sponsored by the Mexico City mayor’s office. People camped out overnight in anticipation to see the former mop-topper.more

CBS is shuffling up its ratings winning line-up this Fall starting with “Two And A Half Men” moving to Thursday nights joining “The Big Bang Theory” for a super comedy kind of night. Mentalist fans will have to change their viewing habits as dreamy Simon Baker will now be seen on Sunday nights. “CSI: Miami” will be no longer (apparently it was a toss-up between that and CSI: New York) as well as “Unforgettable” and “Rob.” There’s a new Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis drama on the horizon titled “Vegas” as well as a Sherlock Holmes in Manhattan crime drama called “Elementary” with Jonny Lee Miller as Holmes and a change-up with Lucy Liu playing Watson. There’s more with the new CBS line-up

Most of us would find it hard to imagine receiving a gift as big as the one Angelina Jolie bought for Brad Pitt-a HELICOPTER! And, oh yes, since he’d have to know how to fly it, she included flying lessons. (good move)How much did it all cost?

This year’s been a busy one for Katy Perry. She released a deluxe version of her album, Teenage Dream, toured non-stop, dealt with a very public divorce to Russell Brand and is getting ready to release her first 3D concert movie, Katy Perry: Part of Me. So it’s no surprise that the singer would be looking for a break.
Last week, Perry accepted the award for Artist of the Year at the 2012 NARM Music Business Association Awards and said she “loves working so hard. It’s really fun. I love reaching my goals.” But the singer, who says she’s going through a “goth phase,” admitted that she needed a “f***ing vacation.” Something Perry says she’ll finally get after the release of her new single “Wide Awake” later this month. Perry plans to perform the song for the first time at the Billboard Music Awards, which airs live this Sunday. more
