When President Barack Obama stopped by New York’s Apollo Theater last week for a fundraiser, he had a little fun and went acapella when he saw soul crooner Al Green in the audience. He serenaded the crowd with a few lines from the Reverend’s classic hit “Let’s Stay Together,” the internet had some fun, and we thought that would be the end of it.
But to our surprise, he ended up putting a little extra change in Al Green’s pocket. Sales of “Let’s Stay Together” increased by 490%!

A new study that was published in the British Medical Journal this month found that there is no direct correlation in the amount of fried food we eat and our risk of heart disease. The research study was conducted with 40,000 people over 15 years in Spain.
The findings showed that the long term risk of eating fried food depended mostly on the type of cooking oil we use during the cooking process. The best and healthiest oils to prepare fried foods are olive and sunflower. So hey, maybe next time you go out an order something from the fried foods menu, you should ask them what kind of oil they cook it in. Just remember, before you indulge in a bunch of fried food, it does have a higher calorie count and can be linked to obesity and high blood pressure.
